School Counselor Role
As a school counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote academic, social/emotional, and career development of all students.
There are a few services I use to achieve this:

Classroom Guidance- Topics addressed will be for all students that teach preventative, developmentally appropriate topics.

Small Group- A voluntary service that is meant to provide additional support than what is given during classroom guidance. At this time, there are no small groups planned in order to follow safety guidelines due to the pandemic.

Individual Meetings- Short-term individual support when self-referred or staff/guardian-referred.

Consultation-I am a firm believer that collaboration is the key to a student’s success. I encourage communication between teachers, staff, parents/guardians, and students.

The mission of Casa Esperanza Montessori Charter School student services is to provide an interactive program to help all students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. It is my goal to provide a safe, welcoming atmosphere to assist our students in all areas in order for them to have a successful fulfilling future. By working as a team, teachers, staff, parents, and school counselor can communicate appropriately to help all students reach their full potential.

By utilizing the Montessori philosophy, I am able to offer various opportunities which results in high-achieving students and well rounded leaders of our future.
